Indeed, in the intimacy of the most prestigious tables, small circles of young teenagers meet regularly to learn, discuss and debate on contemporary and decisive themes during a meal around an eminent personality of economic, political or cultural life.

These prestigious intellectual events are the Rendez-vous of Maison Montaigne. To these Rendez-vous is added the Circle of the Maison Montaigne, adapted and proposed to teenagers as well as their parents, which constitutes an indispensable complement allowing the exchange of ideas, the meetings and the mutual aid between the various members.

Maison Montaigne publishes each year the world ranking of young leaders under 18 years old. Discover the 2020 ranking of young leaders under 18 years old.

The purpose of this ranking is to honor outstanding profiles that can contribute to the renewal of society and global governance.

To be included in this ranking, you must be under 18 years of age on September 13 of the year of publication of the ranking and play an important role in the development of our societies. The ranking is done on the basis of several criteria and takes place every year in October.

The Maison Montaigne Circle is the preferred means of networking, meetings and exchange for the teenagers and their parents. The Circle of Maison Montaigne is an extension of the Rendez-vous of Maison Montaigne and allows you to meet new members, discover new horizons and create new opportunities. Indeed, the membership of the Maison Montaigne Circle makes it possible to multiply and promote exchanges, interactions and decisive and significant meetings. The goal is to connect the great minds and leaders of tomorrow.

Scholarship applications open at each Rendez-vous
As part of the Rendez-vous of the Maison Montaigne, the Maison Montaigne group offers scholarships for deserving students, whose parents cannot finance participation in a Rendez-vous, and who wish to play a leading role in the development of our societies. Scholarship students are selected throughout the year.
The scholarship candidate’s family will be required to provide information regarding its financial status: the precise amount of financial aid will be based on this documentation. Scholarships are granted to applicants(s) with an exceptional profile; scholarship students are then treated in the same way as other participants of the Rendez-vous of the Maison Montaigne and their status is not revealed publicly.

Academic excellence is naturally an important criterion, but it is not pivotal; character, talents and motivation are also taken into consideration. As part of the evaluation of scholarship files, the Maison Montaigne group's administration selects only the most promising ones for which the following qualities are sought:

very good academic results which put the student in the top 5% of their age group

good mastery of French and/or English and an ability to follow a demanding curriculum in one or both languages; a clear interest in learning several foreign languages

the potential to make a significant contribution to the activities of the Maison Montaigne’s group
-
a desire to take on responsibilities and the maturity to handle these responsibilities
